As we approach the end of 2024, it’s time to reflect on some of the incredible projects we’ve had the privilege to work on. One project that truly stands out for us this year involves these two bitumen mixing tanks; a proud showcase of engineering, craftsmanship and teamwork.
Standing side by side, these 18,000L tanks are a sight to behold. Built to exacting standards using carbon steel, the tanks are equipped with protective coatings and bunding spray shields, ensuring durability and safety for years to come. Their sleek yet robust design highlights the precision and care that goes into every tank we manufacture.
Fun Fact: Did you know carbon steel gets its name from its secret ingredient - carbon? While most steels contain just 0.05% to 0.3% carbon, carbon steel can pack in up to 2.5%! That extra carbon makes it tougher, stronger and perfect for heavy duty projects like tanks and industrial equipment.
Behind the Scenes
The tanks were custom built for a new manufacturing facility and represent just the first stage of an exciting larger project. The delivery and precise positioning of these tanks marked a significant milestone for both our team and the client. Watching them take their place was a moment of pride and excitement for everyone involved.
But we’re not stopping here. Stage two will see the installation of platforms, piping and ladders, transforming these tanks into a fully operational system. Stay tuned as we move into the next phases of this project; there’s so much more to come!
